1. Impeller Issues

The impeller is a core component of a split case pump, and its condition directly affects pump efficiency. Impeller wear is a common cause of reduced efficiency. Long-term transport of media containing fine particles gradually wears the impeller surface, altering the blade shape and affecting water propulsion efficiency. Impeller scaling also reduces efficiency. Minerals such as calcium and magnesium in the water deposit on the impeller surface, narrowing the water flow path and increasing flow resistance.
Minor impeller wear can be repaired and polished; severe wear requires replacement. Impeller scaling can be treated by regular cleaning to remove surface dirt. Also, minimize impurities when transporting media to extend the impeller's life.

 

2. Piping System Problems
