Air Operated Double Diaphragm Pumps
The HNYB Air Operated Double Diaphragm Pump (AODD Pump) is a positive displacement pump powered by compressed air. Using two flexible diaphragms and alternating air pressure, it safely transfers a wide range of liquids, including corrosive chemicals, abrasive slurries, viscous fluids, and liquids containing suspended solids. AODD pumps are widely used because they are self-priming, can run dry without damage, and do not require electrical power in hazardous areas.
Designed for demanding industrial applications, HNYB pneumatic diaphragm pumps are suitable for chemical processing, mining, wastewater treatment, food and beverage production, coatings, ceramics, pharmaceuticals, and general industrial fluid handling.

Working Principle
- Air Supply Start: Compressed air enters the diaphragm pump through the inlet and is guided to one side of the air chamber by the air distribution valve, thus starting the pumping cycle.
- Diaphragm Movement: Air pressure pushes the diaphragm outward, while a connecting rod drives the diaphragm on the other side to move synchronously.
- Cavity Volume Change: When the volume of one pumping chamber (discharge stroke) decreases, the volume of the other chamber (intake stroke) increases.
- Check Valve Operation: During the intake stroke, the inlet check valve opens, drawing fluid into the chamber, while the outlet check valve remains closed to prevent backflow.
- Automatic Air Switching: When the diaphragm reaches its stroke limit, the air valve automatically switches, redirecting compressed air to the opposite air chamber.
- Discharge Stroke: The previously expanded chamber now contracts, opening the outlet check valve and discharging fluid into the pipeline.
- Continuous Reciprocating Motion: This alternating intake and discharge cycle repeats continuously, producing a stable and reliable fluid flow without the need for electricity.
