Multi-Stage Impeller Pump

Multi-stage impeller pumps have multiple impellers mounted on a single shaft and connected in series. These pumps are equipped with diffusers to efficiently connect the stages. Fluid enters the first chamber at suction line pressure and exits at a slightly elevated pressure. After leaving the first stage, the fluid enters the second stage, where the pressure is further increased. The more stages a pump has, the higher the final discharge pressure. These pumps have the unique ability to generate higher pressures with each additional stage, while maintaining a constant flow range at a given speed. The axial thrust of the impellers is balanced using a balancing disc and seat or a balancing drum arrangement. All impellers are equipped with replaceable wear rings to maintain efficiency. They offer high efficiency, a wide performance range, safe and stable operation, low noise, long life, and easy installation and maintenance.

The outlet section undergoes a pressure test of 1.5 times the pressure maintained for 10 minutes. This series of pump products is used to meet production needs under high-pressure environments.
Structural characteristics
- Multi-stage impeller pumps feature a segmented casing and enclosed impellers sandwiched between end covers with suction and discharge ports.
- This manufacturing program offers four sizes, with stages ranging from two to a maximum of 14, depending on size, speed, and shaft seal type. Axial thrust is balanced using individually balanced impellers. The remaining axial thrust is balanced using a balancing disc or drum assembly equipped with appropriately sized anti-friction bearings.
- The impellers, diffusers, and wear rings are interchangeable between stages. Combining impellers of varying diameters allows the pump's performance curve to be optimally tailored to the required performance characteristics within the application.
- The pump body consists of the required number of independent stages, each containing an impeller, a guide port, and a chamber. The stages are connected by plug-in connections, and the entire assembly is secured between the end covers by tie-rod joints and sealed with O-rings.
- High hydraulic efficiency and quiet, smooth operation are achieved through the optimized design of the impellers, waterways, chamber vanes, and hydraulic passages. When the liquid is transferred between stages, frictional resistance, turbulence or impact is minimized, and kinetic energy loss is also minimized.
