The HNYB opposed impeller pump is an advanced multistage centrifugal pump featuring an opposed (back-to-back) impeller design. The impellers are mounted symmetrically or in opposite directions on the same or different shafts, working together to pressurize and transport fluids. This design reduces axial thrust and improves operational reliability.
Unlike traditional multistage pumps that require a balancing disc or drum to compensate for axial forces, the opposed-flow impeller design naturally balances hydraulic forces through the reverse arrangement of the impellers. This eliminates the need for traditional balancing discs or drums, thereby improving efficiency, reducing wear, and extending service life.
This structure reduces internal losses, increases efficiency, and extends maintenance intervals, making it suitable for demanding applications such as boiler feedwater systems, industrial facilities, mine water supply, and high-pressure water transmission projects.
